Several of us are sickened to hear about the almost daily terror attacks, and that people are scared to leave the house, or glued to the TV, while the news repeats the same things over and over. Artists, performers and other creatives have always been at the forefront in trying to get people out and active. I am helping some friends activate this with some upcoming events n town, and a bigger movement as well.
December 11-13 there will be several events around 13th and Sherman in Denver. On Friday, 12/11, starting a 6 p.m. a CHAIN LINK fence will be erected outside City O’City, so that people can use it as an active memorial for those injured or killed in recent terrorist acts – across the world, and in our own back yards. This will be up all weekend – so bring out something to pou on the fence and lets link our support of those around the world.
Sunday, 12/13 from 2-10 p.m. at Deer Pile (upstairs from City O’City) will have performers, musicians and more to share their talents in the name of fighting fear.
So far Cristofer Lix, Whitney Rehr, Roseanna Frechette and the bands Firstimers and also Dr Death + Mr Vile are confirmed!
